Hello Again, And Happy New Year!

Hello again, and happy New Year! I haven't been around for a while, but I plan on changing that trend, right now.

The year of 2012 wasn't very good for a lot of people, and I have to admit that I was one of those people. Instead of boring you with a long sob story, or desperately trying to catch you up on everything, I'm choosing to start fresh.

We may be looking back a bit, but a lot of the things I was holding on to will be let go. Hopefully, 2013 will be better for us all. It's good to be back.

Today's Tune: "So Tired" By Ozzy Osbourne

The title of this 'Today's Tune', the first one in a long, long time, tells you exactly how I've been feeling for a good while now. From the 1983 album 'Bark At The Moon', it's "So Tired" by Ozzy Osbourne.

Various things going on in my personal life have made blogging almost impossible over the last several months. While I'm not ready to give up completely, although I probably should be, I am ready to do what has to be done to continue.

What has to be done is letting go. The 'Reading And Viewing List' feature has been holding me back. It's not going away, but we are going to skip ahead from the last issue on to March 2011 at least. Trying to catch up, and be complete at the same time, just isn't working. I'm done with doing it just to prove to myself that I could.

Today's Tune: "Junior's Eyes" By Black Sabbath

The 'Today's Tune' for this day is "Junior's Eyes" (1978), by the English heavy metal band Black Sabbath. There are some very big reasons for picking this song today.

I'm not going to link this song to anything of great historical importance. Posting it on this date has nothing to do with anybody's birth date. It's not because someone I admired or was interested in died on this date.

So, just what are my reasons for picking "Junior's Eyes"? Well, it's nothing Earth shattering, really.

The song title matches my blog title, and there's a good reason why. I named my blog after it. After considering many original name ideas, conjured up from words involved in my many different interests, I picked a song title that wouldn't tie me down into any one particular area of subject matter.

Also, after hunting for a good video (live action, audio only, etc.) of the track off and on since I began this blog on December 1, 2007, somebody finally posted one on YouTube recently. Yeah, I know, I should've uploaded the music myself. But, I didn't.

I've got another very good reason for picking today to feature this brilliant Sabbath tune. There wasn't enough time in my day for finding another song, with a quality linking reason for posting it.

Finally, I Love It! It's very different from earlier Black Sabbath records. It actually goes back toward their blues and jazz like roots, from before they started recording albums to be released to the masses.

It's Been Two Years Now

It's been two years now, and although things didn't look too good last month, I'm still alive and kickin'. After a bad month, I'm ready to get back into the groove. Junior's Eyes rolls on!

I just hope Junior's Eyes doesn't get the kind of birthday present Marvin got. You know I prefer chocolate, especially Reese's Peanut Butter Cups.

Hard to believe it's been a whole year since I started this blog, but it's true. Some say I act like a one year old every day. Maybe by the time Junior's Eyes reaches two years old, there will be one years worth of good posts to be read here. Hey, I do what I can. Too bad I can't devote more time to this thing. It would make a big difference. Probably even more worthless ramblings. Oh well, I hope there have been a few interesting things found on this blog. Whether you've been disappointed or even offended, it's all good, and I've done my job well. If you enjoy reading Junior's Eyes, God help you, you need therapy. Thanks for stopping by.

In The Beginning.....

Hello & welcome to my blog - Junior's Eyes.

I decided to do this blog for a few reasons. I was in need of an outlet for my thoughts & views on things going on in this world. Lately, I've found that most of what I'm reading are blogs. There are many bloggers who have devoted a lot of time & passion into writing about what they know & how they feel about the things they find important in their lives. I'm hoping to do the same here.

Most bloggers write the majority of their posts about one subject. Some write about whatever they find interesting, no matter what that is on any given day. My blog will also include different subjects. The majority of the posts at Junior's Eyes will involve Hockey (mostly the Washington Capitals of the NHL), Music (mostly Queen, Black Sabbath & other Classic Rock), Humor & Science (Fact & Fiction). Some Local & World News will be covered from time to time, but I'm not planning on spending very much time being serious. I like a laugh.

My main objectives include bringing something interesting & enjoyable to you on a fairly regular basis. I hope to see a lot of interaction between myself & any readers that care to do so. Probably the best things about doing this through a blog are that you don't actually have to see the hideous fool on this end & you can always get away with just one click.Well, read on!
