I was thinking about someone born on this day that is no longer with us (literally). Gene Roddenberry passed away on October 24, 1991. The very controversial, often greedy, but creative and successful man that most of us remember as the original writer / creater of the television show Star Trek, was one of the first to be "buried" in space.
