Skate on the ice with celebrities and raise money for Hockey Fights Cancer during Skatefest '08 on Sunday, May 4, 2008 at Ice World in Abingdon

You can register online for the 2 hr Skate-A-Thon. Hockey Fights Cancer MD has lined up former NHL hockey players, Duff Goldman of Charm City Cakes (a.k.a. Ace Of Cakes), champion figure skater Kimmie Meissner and others to skate with you.
At 5:30 PM, watch the Washington Capitals vs Philadelphia Flyers alumni game for $25.00 per ticket. You may never get another chance to see these guys play, or get so close to the action.
Many other things will be going on here, too. Live music, carnival rides, food and other vendors will be at the event. Included will be an appearance by The Zambonis and the Hanson Brothers (from the movie Slap Shot). Mary Alice (from Ace Of Cakes) will also be along with Duff Goldman for this fundraiser.
The whole thing runs from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Good directions are available from Hockey Fights Cancer MD and Ice World.
