The circus that is Free Agency starts today at 12:00 PM EDT for the National Hockey League. This is a time of year when available players, whether really good or just mediocre, go for the big bucks from whoever is willing to overpay for their services. Sometimes signing these guys fills a team's requirements nicely, and sometimes it just puts a team into salary cap hell. Either way, it can be an exciting time for fans of those teams looking to increase their chances of becoming a Stanley Cup contender.
