2012 NHL Entry Draft Links

The 2012 NHL Entry Draft is being held at at the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Round one starts at 7:00 PM EDT tonight, June 22, 2012. The rest of the draft rounds will take place tomorrow.

This post includes a list of some of the best sites to visit online for NHL draft coverage. These blogs, twitter accounts and various websites are also going to be accurate and timely in the reporting of any trades that may happen this weekend. Most trades occur in the offseason these days, and there are bound to be a few major transactions between now and July 1st, when free-agency starts.

The Washington Capitals are my favorite team, so some of the links below are to Caps themed sites and pre-draft videos.

Obviously, I've been out of commission for a while. Therefore, I was not able to post updates on the Washington Capitals for the month of May 2012. With my limited (and unpaid) time, I think it would be utter madness for me to even try, at this point. So, you'll soon see new blog posts starting with June 2012 updates

However, I would like to suggest you visit the archives of the following popular sites, to catch up with or review what happened last month. The end of Washington's second round NHL playoff series against the New York Rangers, and unfortunately their 2012 playoffs run altogether, is well documented by these sources.

As the month of April 2012 came to an end, the Washington Capitals finished up their seven-game Eastern Conference Quarterfinal series against the Boston Bruins. They got two days off following the first round victory before getting into round two of the 2012 Stanley Cup Playoffs, their Semifinal series against the first place (regular season) New York Rangers.

Junior's Eyes supplies some game review links for these five playoff games in this post. Also included are highlights videos and one other Capitals related creation below, in reverse chronological order.

Based in Villa Carlos Paz (near Córdoba, Argentina), the fifth rally of the current World Rally Championship season, 2012 Rally Argentina was held the weekend of April 26 through April 29, 2012. The 312.38 mile gravel run makes this the longest rally of the year.

Overall, the Citroën Total World Rally Team had a great rally, as they took the top two spots. French driver Sébastien Loeb won, and Mikko Hirvonen (Finland) ended up second. Mads Østberg (Norway) came in third for the Adapta World Rally Team.

This is Loeb's 70th WRC career rally win. He held first place in the overall standings, with an 18 point lead over Petter Solberg (Norway) of Ford World Rally Team, after this rally.

I've posted a list (in chronological order) of links to daily review posts from WRC.com, highlights videos and a total event review video.
