Today's Tune: "See The Light Shinin' " By Saxon

'Greatest Hits Live!' was recorded in 1989, released in 1990 on CD and DVD.

American scientist, inventor and businessman Thomas Alva Edison (Born February 11, 1847) died on October 18, 1931, from complications of diabetes, in his Llewellyn Park, West Orange, New Jersey home ("Glenmont"). Edison created and improved on many devices that have greatly influenced life all over the world. The list of his inventions include the phonograph and the motion picture camera.

Thomas Edison has also been credited with the invention of the first practical, functional and lasting incandescent light bulb, which he successfully tested on October 21, 1879. It is this creation that inspires our 'Today's Tune' , "See The Light Shinin' " by the British metal (NWOBHM) band Saxon.
