Today's Tune: "Day of the Eagle"
& "The Ring" By Robin Trower

On October 23, 1929, the very first transcontinental air service in North America began running in the USA, between New York, New York and Los Angeles, California. In honor of this historic day in aviation, we turn to Robin Trower (Procol Harum, BLT, Bryan Ferry Band) for an appropriate 'Today's Tune' song about flight.

I've chosen "Day Of The Eagle" . As if that wasn't going to be enough of a rock 'n roll rush, this YouTube video also happens to include the funky riff laden "The Ring" as a bonus track. I don't know about you, but I can't get enough of the guitar God known to us mere mortals as Robin Trower. So, an extra tune by this Englishman and his band is just fine with me. I hope you like it too.
