American singer, songwriter and musician Ray Charles ("What'd I Say", "Hit The Road Jack", "America The Beautiful") was born in Albany, Georgia on September 23, 1930 (Died June 10, 2004). It's a day to remember this soulful musical icon, and while we have Ray Charles on our minds, we can honor his memory with one of his favorite tunes - "Georgia On My Mind" (Written by Hoagy Carmichael and Stuart Gorrell in 1930).
